Peugeot SUV: What Do You Need to Know

Fri 2nd May 2025

Peugeot SUVs have never been stronger, with a model for all types of drivers. Here at David Hayton, we’re proud to stock the latest line of Peugeot SUV models, with these high-tech cars offering great levels of space and technology at a budget-friendly price.

Given that the range of Peugeot SUVs is broader than ever, it can feel like there’s a lot to take on board. But in this article, we’re going to explain everything you need to know about these exciting new models.

There’s a size for all types of drivers

The great thing about Peugeot SUVs is that there’s a model that’ll fit all types of driving and requirements. There’s the compact 2008, for example, which is the smallest SUV that Peugeot currently offers. It’s great for urban drivers who are short on parking space, or those who want a town runabout that is a breeze to nip through traffic in.

There’s also the popular 3008, which occupies a middle ground in the Peugeot SUV range, while at the most practical end of the spectrum is the larger 5008, which brings a whole lot of boot space and the option of seven seats.

A variety of powertrains is on offer

One of Peugeot's strengths has been its multi-energy offerings. Essentially, this means that there’s an engine setup to suit all types of drivers. For long-distance motorists, you’ll find efficient diesel engines like the 1.5-litre BlueHDi that you’ll find in the 5008 while the 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine in the smaller 3008 is great thanks to its balance of performance and efficiency.

More recently, Peugeot has added electric variants to many of its SUV models so that there’s an option for drivers looking to make the change to a battery-powered vehicle.

All cars are packed with technology

The best technology can help to make everyday life a little easier and you’ll find some of the very latest features in Peugeot’s SUVs. This Peugeot 3008, for example, gets Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone connectivity systems to make mirroring your phone on the car’s screen a breeze, while this 2008 has a head-up display to give a quick and easy readout of all key vehicle information on the windscreen ahead of the driver.

There’s a near-endless list of technologies fitted to Peugeot’s SUV range but if you’re struggling to work out just how it all operates, get in touch with the David Hayton team, who will be happy to explain just how these new features work.

High safety levels

Many people associate high safety levels with SUVs simply because of their increased ride height, but much of what makes an SUV secure is down to the assistance systems that they come equipped with. This is certainly the case with the Peugeot SUV range. This 3008 in striking Vertigo Blue comes with blind spot monitoring, which, as the name suggests, uses cameras to check the car’s blind spot and will automatically illuminate a light in the wing mirrors to alert the driver to another vehicle in that area.

Many Peugeot SUVs also come with lane departure warning, which can help on long-distance trips. With it enabled, the system will alert the driver if the car starts to move out of a lane.

Plenty of standard equipment

There’s no such thing as an entry-level vehicle in the Peugeot SUV range. All models come equipped with a high level of standard equipment, regardless of which specification the vehicle is finished in. Cars like this Peugeot 3008 come with 18-inch alloy wheels and a rear parking camera equipped, while this 2008 boasts Bluetooth connectivity and even a refrigerated glove box to help keep drinks or snacks cool on those warmer days.

But if there’s a certain feature that you’re looking for on your next car, such as heated seats or tinted windows, the team here at David Hayton will be happy to assist in finding a Peugeot SUV with those key pieces of equipment fitted.
